Task Description: Roadshow: Processing the Treatment Shapefile

Task: Create the treatment file at the decision meetings.

Rationale: To supply the state cooperators with a digital copy of their STS treatment areas.

Timeline: September-October

Brief Process Description:

• Provide an easy environment for digitizing and editing shapefiles.
• Assign acreage, PPA ID and Priority values to the digitized treatment polygons.
• Assign Agency and State values to the treatment polygons.
• Assign treatment and dosage values to the treatment polygons.
• Assign Agency and State values to the project boundaries.
• Convert digitized treatments and attributes to new shapefile.

sts_new_poly_shapefiles

• Creates three new polygon shapefiles and adds them to the present view, in preparation for editing by following scripts

Script Location: \\abyss\utilities\zz3_STS_Digimatic_2001.avx

Output:

zScrnDig.SetupRun, zScrnDig.ReturnKeyFields

• Altered forms of the extension Run scripts above, Screen Digitize. These override the actions of the default, for this specialized use.

sts_dig_trt

• Activates screen digitize for use with treatment shapefiles.
• Looks for \\abyss\utilities\support\trttype.dbf. This file contains the categories of treatment types available for digitizing by key field.

sts_dig_grid

• Activates screen digitize for use with grid shapefiles.

Looks for \\abyss\utilities\support\gridtype.dbf. This file contains the categories of treatment types available for digitizing by key field.

sts_dig_project

• Activates screen digitize for use with project shapefiles.

Looks for \\abyss\utilities\support\gridtype.dbf. This file contains the categories of treatment types available for digitizing by key field.
